Part 6: Northern Colorado

And back to Colorado we went! We spent two days in Rocky Mountain National Park driving on mountain tops, chasing elk, and eating so much barbecue food. Our second day there we woke up bright and early determined to make the hike to Sky Pond. We set out with some sandwiches and high hopes that the altitude wouldn’t get the best of us. After a 16 mile hike round trip we collapsed in the car, exhausted from sucking win when climbing and gasping too much at every view (Apologies go out to our lungs). But we made it. And it was incredible. Six lakes, three waterfalls, and stunning wilderness everywhere. That day only confirmed my need to one day live where this is easily accessible. Here’s out final leg of the trip.
